With satisfactory results of Big C Hue, MEC International was invited to participate in other Big C supermarkets in Vinh Phuc (2010), Nam Dinh (2011), Hai Duong (2011), Thanh Hoa (2011) and Ninh Binh (2013). After a rigorous selection process, MEC International was honored to be chosen as one of the main contractors who participated in the construction of Big C supermarket in Hue (2009). Until 2003, its name was officially changed to Big C – owned by Casino Group.Īs for an international supermarket brand like Big C, each of its supermarket branches in Vietnam needs to be constructed by experienced contractors with the most competitive price.
In 1998, Bourbon opened the first supermarket in Vietnam with French style in Dong Nai, named Cora. Big C Vietnam’s predecessor was Cora supermarket chain, under the management of Bourbon Group (France).
